Sculptures
Following on from some brilliant story’s the sculpture part of the project got off to a great start at Stratton School on Monday. An excellent ghost was made complete with top hat & a waistcoat, a mermaid was started (to be finished tomorrow), the selki is looking good & just needs a rock to sit on.
Yesterday at Whitstone was also a very productive session with a
4 well dressed piskies made (boot houses to be finished today) The farmer is looking scruffy & ugly- just like in the story & the owls, magic stone, wind demon & well are also nearing completion.

Whitstone - Starting to make Storyboards.
Marhamchurch - Using 'OH' storytelling cards to help create a story.
Alan started working with the schools supporting them to gain Storytelling and Story-making skills.
Using a range of materials from discussing stories , Story cards, Word bags and Storyboarding all the groups were fully engaged and produced excellent stories.
This was good preparation for creating their own Legends/ Myths of Bude and the surrounding area.

Elements Project Underway!
The Elements story project started with a late afternoon session bringing together the school staff, the two artists (Tom - 3D Artist & Alan - Storyteller) with The Castle’s Education Officer Clare.
The session looked at the process involved in achieving the project’s aims with ‘hands on’ experience of some of the storymaking activities that the school groups will be engaging in.
